Born in Darjeeling, she became a household name through her iconic partnership with Bhuwan K.C., debuting in the 1983 hit Samjhana, and starring in the cultural phenomenon Kusume Rumal (1985), which held the record as the highest-grossing Nepali film for over two decades.
