Abanderado

Diego is his school’s flag-bearer, and his demanding mother insists that he remain in that role—even though the school wishes to give other students the chance to carry the flag. Driven by envy, a classmate becomes determined to outperform him and seize the position at any cost. Plagued by anxiety, Diego has a disturbing dream during an exam in which he sees blood on his test paper; this leaves him at a crossroads, forcing him to weigh the value of his own life against what he represents to others as the flag-bearer.
