Directed by Bas Groenenberg
In a kingdom far, far away, a princess is born, as sweet as the scent of blooming roses. She is named Sleeping Beauty. To celebrate her birth, a grand royal ball is held, but the clumsy wizards Thibalt and Corry are not invited. Furious, they cast a curse: before her 21st birthday, Sleeping Beauty will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall into an eternal sleep. The curse works, throwing the kingdom into chaos. To protect her, spinning wheels are banned, and she grows up with her three loving fairy godmothers. On her 21st birthday, Sleeping Beauty is about to be crowned queen. But once again, Thibalt and Corry are excluded from the coronation ball. Determined to get revenge, they sneak in and give her an enchanted spinning wheel. One prick… and the curse comes true. Sleeping Beauty and the entire royal court fall into a deep sleep. Will anyone break the spell, or will Sleeping Beauty dream forever?
