MOKSHA
“a brown girl coming of age”

Directed by Sheel Yerneni
A forward-thinking woman with an innate flair for high fashion literally drowns in the shame of a haunting, conservative upbringing. Every line is pulled from real journal entries, 2017 to 2023. MOKSHA is a euphoric, aesthetic reckoning with everything young women are taught to carry, and a reclamation of the freedom to choose for themselves.
